THROW IN STRATEGIES
Kick In #1 - Uncheck
In this KICK IN strategy, the player nº4, after kick in the ball, must, at the right timming, run behind defender Nº5, in a reverse diagonal movement (called uncheck). The attacker Nº3 passes the ball with the outside of his foot (preferably right) at a future point where the attacker Nº5 is moving. This attacker, when touching the ball, must in 1 or 2 touches, make the back pass (with the sole of the foot) to the attacker Nº3 that after making a feint, approaches to take advantage to make the pass to the pivot. After the pass to the pivot, both the opposing wing and the wing that made the pass must support and make the necessary overtaking to create conditions of kick to the goal.
Kick In #2 - 2 In, 1 Out
Player Nº5 runs towards the parallel pass (option 1). Player Nº3 moves to make the block from behind in defender Nº3, which marks the attacker Nº 4. Then he unlocks the block and creates a passing line from the front, to kick the goal (option 2 - video). Player Nº4 takes advantage of the block and unchecks towards the opposite wing, creating a pass line from the top to the volley (option 3).
Kick In #3 - Uncheck & Pass To The Pivot From The Middle
In this Kick In Strategy, the player who kicks in passes the ball to the No. 4 and runs behind the defender of this player, toward the middle of the court (unchecking movement). The pivot must anticipate his defender and create a pass line through the center, for the player who is unchecking. At the right time, player Nº 4 must pass the ball, preferably with the outside of the foot, at a future point, to which player # 2 is moving. Once the pass is received, the player must seek the pass in one or at most 2 touches to the pivot, while the two wings try to gain the backs of their markers to support the pivot and get the kick to the goal.
